Explanation: The 17th century Pope Urban VIII, a member of the Barberini family, looted the bronze door to the Pantheon and the bronze coffers in the portico to make cannons for Castel Sant'Angelo and the Baldacchino in St. Peter's.

John,

Barberini didn't get the doors of the Pantheon. The ones you see today are the originals.

He did pull of the roof covering, though, and demolished large parts of the Flavian amphitheatre to build St Peters.
