I love the Guggenheim Bilbao, but sometimes a picture's worth a thousand words.

THIS IS Frank Gehry's Center for Brain Health. According to the Clinic's website, "The goal of the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health is to prevent the disabling symptoms of chronic brain diseases and to prolong healthy, vital aging in people at risk for dementia or cognitive disorders."

What a cruel joke to play on sick people. How did anyone ever think this was appropriate?

What an asshole.

A Center for Brain Health? This work of Gehry's is a profoundly disordered building.

Hey, no making fun of the amateurs! This is a joke, guys!

This is a non sequitur to this post, but if you have the movie Barcelona up as a favorite, you might want to check out Robert Hughes' book Barcelona, which is the most perfect blend of history, art history, love of local food, city, etc...No one else can describe a Romanesque church for five pages and make you want to jump off the couch and go see it, rather than just flatline on p.3....
